Capoeira at Hackney Carnival

We had a great time yesterday taking part in Hackney Carnival in Hackney Wick. Joined by Contra-Mestre Boneco, Joana, and Fionn from FICA London, Capoeira Bemvindo kicked-off the party with a high-energy roda in the sunshine.

We took a break to enjoy the sound systems and bring our energy to Bloco de Samba Batala (and, yes, get out of the rain - British Summer, innit!) before coming back out with a samba de roda that turned hipster East Londoners into frantic wannabe-Cariocas, and some more capoeira.

Then we had our own after party to celebrate!
